Kayla Baker began petsitting 12 years ago while working as a veterinary assistant in her home town, in Virginia. Since then, she has worked at multiple animal shelters as a certified animal behaviorist, specializing in positive reinforcement training. She has then continued to work in numerous AZA-accredited zoos and aquariums as a trainer with carnivores and primates. Today, she is the owner of Tails & Scales, where she provides training, petsitting, and medical care for any animals that need assistance.

How do I book a service?
You can easily book a service through our website or by giving us a call. Our team is here to assist you with any questions you may have.
What are your prices?
Having extra family members can be expensive, but we dont want it to be when working with us! Our prices start at 20.00 for drop ins/walks and 38.00 for overnights/daycare.
Do you offer emergency services?
Yes! While we cannot provide emergency medical care or operate as a veterinarian, we can petsit/house sit during an emergency, or assist in transportation to a veterinarian.
